Read, Study & Practice is the area students access for self-guided student activity. Instructors using WileyPLUS courses have full access to all Read, Study & Practice content.
You may open individual chapters from the Blackboard/WileyPLUS Content page, or open Read, Study & Practice by clicking the Read, Study & Practice link in the WileyPLUS Content page, and the Read, Study & Practice tab appears
All the study materials provided for this course are organized according to the structure of the book (by chapter). This means students can select “Chapter 5” and see the full online text and hyperlinks to integrated innovative resources for Chapter 5, such as the Student Study Guide, Animations and Practice Quizzes.
Read Study & Practice contains a full integrated online version of the text, including resources such as the index and appendices.
Click a chapter link the Table of Contents list. The Chapter content appears.
Use the right navigation pane to move from section to section, or you can page through using the arrows along the top. To print a section, click on “Print Version”. You can only print one section at a time.
All WileyPLUS textbooks have links to their reference and resource materials, therefore, as you are reading, you may see links for terms, numbers, and icons in the text.
Click a figure number to see a larger version of the image, and click a highlighted word or term to see the index or glossary listing. Icons may be links to animations, simulations, videos, or other additional resources.
Certain file types such as animations or video clips may require additional software to view them. To confirm that your computer is set up properly to use these, please check the System Recommendations.
Study Objectives are specific objectives from the WileyPLUS text that students can use to increase their knowledge about concepts or ideas in the course.
In Read, Study & Practice, click the Browse by Study Objectives tab. A list of chapters appears in the tab. Click a chapter title, and the study objectives for the chapter display. (Note: some WileyPLUS titles do not contain Study Objectives.)
Drop-down menus appear at the top of the tab. Use the Chapter drop-down to navigate to other chapters. Use the Section drop-down to navigate to sections within chapters, if they are available.
Use the Study Objectives drop-down menu to select a study objective from the material in the chapter. Click Go, and resources and reviews appear in the tab.
To add WileyPLUS readings to your Blackboard course, click Return to Blackboard. The Blackboard Content page appears
In the Content page, click Build Content and select WileyPLUS materials from the drop-down list. The WileyPLUS Materials page appears. Click Add WileyPLUS Readings and Assignments.
In Add WileyPLUS Readings or Assignments screen, click Add WileyPLUS Readings. The Add WileyPLUS Readings screen displays.
In the Add WileyPLUS Readings screen, you can click the link for a chapter from the WileyPLUS title to review the material. The chapter you selected will display in a new browser window or tab. (Note: the Launch WileyPLUS Link page will appear again. Click Launch. To disable this screen, select the "Do not show this message again" check box.)
In the Add WileyPLUS Readings screen, select the check boxes for the chapters you want to add. Chapters that have already been added to the course appear with a check mark in the Deployed to Blackboard column
Click Submit. The chapter(s) you selected appear in the Content page.
